The salt air in a near-ocean environment can be brutal to exterior lighting fixtures.  Powder coatings get compromised and serious pitting develops, as evidenced above. Even copper lighting is not immune to poor fixture design and use of inferior components.

For over 15 years, Beachside Lighting has produced fixtures made from heavy gauge solid brass which weather to a natural patina.  Acid finishes (not powder coatings) are available for more inland & protected locations.  The majority of our fixtures have been used in Florida, the Caribbean, and Hawai’i.  If you would like the name of your local representative and / or a sample fixture, just let us know.
